As a Software Development Engineer II in the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, you will take ownership of production systems that manage the complete data lifecycle, from ingestion to model training. You will work on enhancing existing services and designing new solutions to meet the needs of business application teams. The team focuses on building secure data foundations that power AI-driven applications while ensuring compliance and privacy. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards and operations
• Experience with data infrastructures such as relational analytic DBMS and Big Data technologies
• Experience building large-scale, high-throughput data systems
• Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, and machine learning
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Own and deliver complete software features for event-based data storage systems from design through deployment.
• Maintain, refactor, and enhance existing storage and analytics platforms for improved performance.
• Design and implement software solutions for data access interfaces and authorization systems.
• Mentor team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Resolve operational issues by identifying root causes and implementing permanent fixes.
• Work directly with business application teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Take ownership of security implementations including encryption and access controls.
• Drive improvements to self-service platforms and control planes.
