Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a High-Speed Interconnect Architect to lead the development of high-speed interconnect solutions. This role requires a blend of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering expertise, focusing on high-speed cable and connector design. The architect will work closely with customers and vendors to drive product innovation while ensuring mechanical and signal integrity. Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering with strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of experience in high-speed cable and connector design and manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead product roadmap development and balance technical tradeoffs
- Deep understanding of mating issues, connector mechanics, and high-speed performance limitations
- Experience working cross-functionally with customers, vendors, and internal R&D/engineering teams
- Excellent communication and collaborator management skills
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the product roadmap for high-speed cables and connectors
- Specify clear, actionable requirements while enabling space for innovation
- Work closely with customers and vendors to understand challenges and drive alignment
- Navigate the mechanical and signal integrity tradeoff space to ensure robust designs
- Lead or support root cause analysis of mating and mechanical issues
- Drive fast-turn prototyping and manufacturing cycle time optimization
- Encourage collaboration with internal and external partners to deliver on the vision
- Travel to vendors, manufacturers, and customers to foster strong relationships
