Job description

NVIDIA is hiring a System Software Engineer to join its System Software group, focusing on Tegra Diagnostics. The role involves developing software for complex computing systems used in AI, HPC, and accelerated computing workloads. The team is dynamic and consists of some of the best engineers in the world, working on innovative technology. Candidates should have a passion for software development and a strong background in engineering.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and object-oriented programming skills.
  • Experience with low level / driver level programming.
  • Understanding of processor architecture fundamentals, preferably ARM.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop drivers/tests and frameworks to efficiently stress the SOC/System through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in overall system architecture analysis and collaborate with internal software teams to define/design use cases.
  • Spearhead initiatives to improve efficiency, robustness, and user friendliness of software for design validation and customer bring up.
  • Understand and participate in the debug and root cause analysis of complex data center module failures.
  • Communicate optimally with various teams throughout the company, as well as customers and partners.
