Job description

The Sensing Hardware Test team at Apple is seeking an exceptional engineer to focus on the research, design, and development of metrology solutions for advanced sensing technologies. This role involves owning the integrated architecture of precision test stations and collaborating with hardware, software, and operations teams. The engineer will work on innovative test infrastructure that influences the quality and scalability of Apple's sensing technologies. This position offers a clear growth path toward test system architecture or cross-functional leadership.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
  • Practical knowledge in electrical design and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with common electronic instrumentations such as SMU, DMM, and Oscilloscope.
  • Hands-on programming skills in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems and mechatronics system integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with sensor technologies and their testing challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated architecture of precision test stations.

  • Explore advanced sensing technology and deploy innovative test infrastructure.
  • Design robust and scalable test solutions for high-throughput production environments.

  • Develop complex algorithms for signal processing or control.
