Job description
The SWIFT Engineer role at Apple involves working within the Innovation Lab to guide top-tier customers in building AI-powered applications on Apple platforms. This position requires a hands-on technical expert who will create sample projects and partner with customer engineering teams. The focus is on leveraging emerging technologies like AI and Spatial Computing to enhance customer experiences. The engineer will also act as a trusted advisor, sharing best practices and solutions tailored to customer needs.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience developing high-quality native applications for Apple platforms using Swift, SwiftUI, and modern Apple frameworks.
- Proven track record building AI-powered applications, with hands-on experience integrating LLMs and deploying on-device ML models.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, with a track record of shipping production systems built on clean, robust, and maintainable code.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Apple's AI/ML stack, including the Foundation Models framework, Core ML, and MLX.
- Hands-on experience developing for visionOS using RealityKit and ARKit, or strong interest in Spatial Computing.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and partner cross-functionally across business, product, design, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Dive deep into customers' technical landscapes to analyze challenges and design actionable solutions.
- Maintain and enhance the Innovation Lab's technical infrastructure.
- Build and deliver high-impact, hands-on demonstrations showcasing emerging AI and Spatial Computing capabilities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to technical teams at leading global organizations, sharing expert guidance on AI-powered enterprise applications.
- Approach customer interactions with deep curiosity and a customer-centric mindset.
