Job description
The Optoelectronic Test Development Engineer will be part of the Camera Semiconductor Technologies group, focusing on the research, design, and development of test hardware for mass production environments. This role involves calibrating, characterizing, and testing semiconductor photonic devices for revolutionary Apple products. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test algorithms and hardware solutions. The position requires a strong background in semiconductor optoelectronic testing and the ability to manage external suppliers.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience working with semiconductor optoelectronic test, including lasers, image sensors, displays, and LEDs
- Experience managing external suppliers to deliver hardware solutions
- MS or PhD degree is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Some knowledge of computer vision techniques, such as image processing
- Experience with high-level scientific computing languages like MATLAB or Python
- Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and bench-level components
- Work experience in a wafer fab environment
