Job description
The Apple News Operations team is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to enhance internal tools and automation systems that support operational workflows. This role involves building and maintaining full-stack applications and data tools essential for internal teams. The engineer will also provide technical guidance to publishers, assisting them in integrating with the platform. The ideal candidate should be adept at both technical problem-solving and effective communication with partners.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a software engineering or technical operations role
- Understanding of core programming principles with experience in programming languages such as Python and shell scripting
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database design, management, and optimization
- Experience with React and related frontend technologies
- Familiarity and deep interest in applying AI to enhance tooling and productivity
- Strong debugging and triage skills with a security-conscious approach to code and data
- Experience working directly with external partners in a technical capacity
- Comfortable presenting technical work and recommendations to varied audiences
- Familiarity with the media, publishing, or digital content ecosystem
