Job description

Apple is seeking a Video/Imaging Software Engineer to join a team of media processing specialists focused on developing the next-generation media processing pipeline for Apple Vision Pro. This role involves solving complex technical challenges and creating innovative products that enhance user experiences. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • 7+ years of experience with software development.
  • Experience with image and video processing.
  • Excellent programming skills and proficiency in C/C++, Objective-C, or Swift.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Experience with media formats such as HEVC, H264, and JPEG.
  • Experience with video capture/playback or media processing pipelines.
  • Experience in developing media SDKs, frameworks, and customer-facing APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement the media processing pipeline and framework for Apple Vision Pro.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical challenges.
