Job description

The Accessibility Quality & Livability team at Apple is dedicated to testing assistive technologies and ensuring the accessibility of Apple products. The team aims to provide an exceptional experience for users with disabilities while maintaining high usability and performance standards. They are looking for a Software Quality Engineer with significant quality assurance testing experience and knowledge of modern assistive technologies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting the accessibility community.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in quality assurance testing.
  • Knowledge of modern assistive technologies.
  • Excellent written and technical communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of various assistive technology features, especially Apple's.
  • Experience using command line interface to collect logs and diagnose problems.
  • Experience using bluetooth switches, power wheelchair joysticks, mouth wands, or other similar assistive technologies.
  • Fluency in multiple spoken languages.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or relevant work experience.
