As an engineer on the UI Frameworks team, you will develop features and APIs for SwiftUI and UIKit that enhance the app development experience across all of Apple's platforms. You will work in a collaborative environment with creative colleagues, contributing to ambitious goals that shape the future of app development. The role emphasizes constant curiosity and growth, allowing you to bring your ideas to life through all stages of development. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with experts across various domains within Apple.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Swift or the capacity to become proficient quickly

  • Experience with at least one of the following: native or web app development, framework and API development, graphics and animation systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • High standards for quality and attention to detail
  • The desire to learn and grow, keeping pace with cutting edge technologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop features and APIs across SwiftUI and UIKit that impact all of Apple's platforms
  • Bring ideas to life through initial research, API design, testing, and development in Swift
  • Document and offer guidance to adopters of the frameworks
  • Engage in energetic discussions on work and ideas with team members and other experts
  • Collaborate closely with Swift, Xcode, design, and framework teams

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
