The Lead Software Engineer at Parametric will provide technical leadership and project management within the Equity Investments and Client Activities team. This role focuses on designing and developing technology solutions that enhance the Direct Indexing business and improve business processes. The engineer will work closely with various teams to build scalable, cloud-native services that streamline portfolio management. Mentorship of junior developers and fostering a collaborative environment are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience managing all aspects of technical projects
- 7+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE software design and development experience
- Strong hands-on experience developing API using GraphQL/REST
- Cloud native development experience, preferably with AWS
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Working knowledge of NoSQL database engines such as Redis, Cassandra, or MongoDB
- Strong leadership skills including communication, project management, and accountability
Responsibilities
- Design and develop proprietary solutions for the Equity Direct Indexing portfolio management teams
- Provide technical leadership to other Software Engineers
- Design, develop, and maintain services and API to support various business needs
- Leverage scalable and distributed computing principles to build the next generation of services
- Create unit, integration, functional, and performance tests
- Mentor new or less senior developers
- Conduct code reviews of other developers
- Share experience, knowledge, and ideas to improve processes and productivity
