Job description
The NPI Product Engineer role at KLA involves gaining in-depth knowledge of advanced wafer inspection systems and supporting both internal and external customers with system operations and troubleshooting. The position is part of the KLA Services team, which focuses on maintaining high performance and productivity of products through a range of services. The engineer will collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on new designs and drive small projects in a matrix environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively address customer needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, IT/Software/Networking, Electronics, Optics, Mechanical, Software or related technical field.
- Hands-on experience building, operating, and solving problems for KLA Inspection systems.
- Experience with image computing and Linux-based troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of servers, electrical and mechanical systems, and/or motion control.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to quickly adapt to a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Gain a systems engineering level knowledge of wafer inspection systems.
- Support customers in the operation, installation, upgrade, diagnosis, repair, and application of systems.
- Provide written plans of action or hands-on assistance when first-line support fails.
- Write technical reports to communicate issues, analysis, and engineering recommendations.
- Implement and supervise progress of NPI/Sustaining work tasks.
- Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on serviceability of new designs.
- Drive small projects in a matrix environment.
