Job description

The NPI Product Engineer role at KLA involves gaining in-depth knowledge of advanced wafer inspection systems and supporting both internal and external customers. The position is part of the KLA Services team, which focuses on maintaining high performance and productivity of products through a range of services. The engineer will work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on serviceability and drive small projects in a matrix environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively address customer needs and improve system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, IT/Software/Networking, Electronics, Optics, Mechanical, Software or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience building, operating, and solving problems for KLA Inspection systems.
  • Knowledge of servers, electrical and mechanical systems, and/or motion control.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a systems engineering level knowledge of wafer inspection systems.
  • Support external and internal customers in the operation, installation, upgrade, diagnosis, repair, and application of systems.
  • Respond to unresolved problems by providing written plans of action or hands-on assistance at customer sites.
  • Write technical reports to communicate issues, analysis, technical assessments, system status, and engineering recommendations.
  • Implement and supervise progress of NPI/Sustaining work tasks.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to provide feedback on serviceability of new designs.
  • Drive small projects in a matrix environment.
