Job description
As an IT Support Engineer I at Amazon, you will leverage your technical skills to provide high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise application software. You will be part of the OpsTech IT team, which is essential for maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports Amazon Operations. The role requires troubleshooting and solving problems in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that systems remain operational during production hours. You will also interact with management and staff to enhance IT solutions and manage local technical projects.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with Windows Server technologies such as AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 2+ years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
- 1+ years of experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery.
- 2+ years of experience in networking, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- 2+ years of experience supporting corporate Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems.
- 2+ years of experience maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in computer networking.
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration in various software and hardware environments.
- Ensure that infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
- Manage local technical projects effectively.
- Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
