Amazon Web Services is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a global engineering team focused on designing and innovating data center electrical systems. The role emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement to achieve world-class uptime for customers. Engineers will work on multi-million dollar designs and be involved in all phases from concept to construction. The position requires teamwork and interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License is preferred
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region

• Create data center electrical designs and collaborate with other disciplines to produce a construction document set
• Ensure designs meet quality and budgetary requirements
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes
• Review and approve equipment submittals
• Define project scope and provide technical support during construction phases
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical systems
• Travel to sites for reviews and work with onsite field engineers
• Provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup support as needed
