The Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Audio at Amazon Lab126 will focus on testing audio algorithms for consumer electronics. This role involves working with a team of experienced SQA professionals to ensure product quality through rigorous testing. The engineer will create test plans and execute test cases while collaborating with software development engineers. The position emphasizes a proactive approach to quality assurance in every phase of the development process.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• Experience in manual testing
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
• Experience in audio algorithm testing for speech processing
• Experience using audio analysis tools and performing acoustic and audio measurements
• Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics
• Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
• Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell

• Create test plans, test cases, test setup requirements, and test design to evaluate audio algorithms of devices
• Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products
• Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
• Interpret and report testing results, and advocate for quality in every phase of the development process
• Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and feature implementation
