This role involves managing vendors and manufacturers to enhance fiber optic and passive infrastructure designs within AWS Infrastructure Services. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and specialists to address complex challenges in network architecture. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and operational excellence in a dynamic cloud environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in fiber plant design and network design or 10+ years in structured cabling design, deployment, and maintenance for large-scale data centers.
• 5+ years of experience with fiber plant design and IEEE standards.
• 2+ years of experience working with optical protocols and technologies.
• Expertise in industry standards such as ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and other relevant structured cabling guidelines.
• Master's degree in a technical field or CISCO certification.
• 2+ years of fiber handling and fiber installation processes experience.
• Experience working in hyper-scale cloud, AI, or high-performance computing environments.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D engineering tools (e.g., CAD, Revit) for design and clash detection.
• Expertise in debugging and troubleshooting.
• Significant experience in the product development lifecycle.

• Perform mitigation analysis and site inspections to validate as-built conditions.
• Monitor module quality in the fleet and build mechanisms to remediate large scale events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during build, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Maintain documentation, drawings, and asset records for physical network components.
• Provide feedback to design and operations teams to drive continuous improvement of physical network standards.
