The AWS Hardware Engineering team is seeking an engineer to drive system innovation in CPU and Memory components used in AWS servers. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, validate, and troubleshoot large-scale systems. The team focuses on optimizing quality, performance, reliability, and cost while delivering a world-class customer experience. Candidates will be part of a diverse group that values inclusion and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Own next-generation CPU and Memory components used in servers across AWS
  • Interact with internal and external interdisciplinary teams of engineers
  • Design, develop, validate, launch, monitor, and troubleshoot systems at large scale
  • Provide leadership in the application of new technologies to servers
  • Continuously look for ways to improve security, performance, quality, and cost

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
