The Senior Staff Developer Relations Engineer in Internal Developer Relations at Google is responsible for collaborating with developers and advocating for their needs within the organization. This role combines technical expertise with community engagement to enhance the developer experience across various Google technologies. The engineer will drive strategies to empower developers with knowledge and resources, while also collecting and communicating feedback to product teams. The position requires strong relationships with stakeholders and a focus on improving internal development processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- 10 years of work experience in a technical role such as software engineering or solutions consulting.
- 7 years of experience in organizational and technological transformation.
- Experience working in a Developer Relations or Developer Advocacy role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with AI and Product Area leads to develop targeted enablement strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all roles within Google.
- Oversee the collection, synthesis, and communication of developer feedback to product teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to partner teams based on software development practices.
- Drive efforts to prioritize and deliver friction logs and feedback from product teams.
