The Product Data Scientist for the Payments Platform Experience at Google will focus on enhancing analytics and driving innovation within the payments team. This team is responsible for building and operating Google's monetization infrastructure, which supports various business models across different countries. The role involves leveraging advanced data analysis techniques and Gen AI tools to improve product features and support strategic goals. The candidate will also work closely with the Identity and Risk teams to ensure platform security while facilitating seamless user experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, data science, engineering, physics, economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of work experience with analysis applications and coding in Python, R, or SQL, or 2 years of work experience with a Master's degree.
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
- Experience working on statistical/casual inference techniques across experimentation and observational studies.
- Experience in the payments, online ecommerce, or marketplace industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis by utilizing relevant tools such as SQL, R, and Python.
- Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources using relevant tools.
- Report key performance indicators to support business reviews with cross-functional leadership teams.
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to influence product feature development decisions.
- Build and prototype analysis and business cases iteratively to provide insights at scale.
