The Business Data Scientist role at Google focuses on leveraging data analytics to drive marketing insights for the Android Platforms and Devices team. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
  • 4 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree is preferred.
  • Experience delivering campaign analysis, fully automated analytics pipelines, audience segmentation or propensity modeling.
  • Ability to generate practical solutions for marketing analytics problems and use results to drive business change.

Responsibilities

  • Own data infrastructure and manage its evolution to generate deep user, tactic, and market insights.
  • Drive causal experimentation by designing and consulting on rigorous A/B experiments with external partners.
  • Deliver customer-centric, data-driven insights grounded in data and clear frameworks.
  • Frame and solve ambiguous problems by scoping technical priorities and using statistical methods.
  • Build relationships with product teams and the broader Data Science community to develop new measurement methodologies.
