Job description

The Senior Technical Program Manager will oversee the Resource Investment Manager platform, evolving it from a web application into a robust platform that supports AI workflows. This role involves conducting a landscape analysis of the data warehouse and technical architecture to enhance end-user consumption of RIM and Procurement data. The manager will work closely with outsourced development teams and various internal partners to ensure compliance and prioritize platform sustainability. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and adherence to Microsoft's values of respect, integrity, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working with outsourced or managed-service development teams is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse concepts, corporate budgeting, forecasting, and procurement processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Copilot in Power BI, or other AI-assisted analytics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Run a data-warehouse re-architecting landscape analysis framed by how end users will consume the data into their own AI workflows.
  • Identify and implement incremental changes that enable end-user AI consumption, including Copilot and well-governed datasets.
  • Ensure SFI compliance against emerging requirements.
  • Sustain the platform and manage the outsourced development vendor.
  • Oversee documentation of the current state of the RIM application and related workflows.
  • Uphold data quality, privacy, security, and responsible AI practices across the platform.

Benefits

  • Employees at Microsoft are often offered comprehensive, “world-class” benefits—including health and mental-wellness programs, competitive pay with bonuses and stock awards, and retirement/savings options. Time-off and flexibility are common, with generous vacation and holidays, parental and caregiver leave, and flexible work schedules, alongside learning support, employee resource groups, product discounts, and matching-gifts/volunteering programs. Specific benefits can vary by region.
