Job description
The Applied Sciences Group (ASG) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop innovative features across Windows and other Microsoft products. This role involves a focus on native-code development, contributing to projects that impact billions of users. ASG is a multidisciplinary team that emphasizes rapid prototyping and user-centered design. Candidates should be excited about working on diverse projects that integrate machine learning and software engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years developing and debugging production-level native/compiled code.
- 4+ years end-to-end project development experience.
- Experience in designing and implementing User Experiences for Windows and/or Android Apps.
- Experience coding in modern programming languages such as C++, Kotlin or Rust, with a strong understanding of system-level or mobile application development.
