Job description
Microsoft is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the AI FinOps team within the Experiences and Devices group. This team is focused on building a next-generation monetization platform for AI, transitioning from seat-based licensing to real-time, consumption-based billing. The role requires an experienced engineer with a strong background in delivering high-scale, low-latency services and the ability to collaborate across multiple partner teams. The position emphasizes technical expertise and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C#, Java, C, C++, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience in Spark, Python, data engineering, and data modeling.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-scale, low-latency services that meet the needs of our diverse user base.
- Deliver high quality code that is maintainable, performant, testable, and used in cross products.
- Conduct efficient design and architectural discussions, ensuring that solutions are secure, reliable, and maintainable.
- Collaborate closely with multiple partner teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of complex projects.
- Drive effective project management and delivery within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
