Job description
The Network Development Engineer role at AWS focuses on building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS and its customers across multiple global datacenters. The position is part of the Network Fabric Engineering team, which is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of data center networks. The role involves collaborating with various engineering teams and driving innovation in network solutions. Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols
- 4+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
- 1+ years of experience with automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl
Responsibilities
- Perform high quality network and systems operations, deployments, and scaling.
- Create and implement changes on the network.
- Lead network projects in areas such as deployment, scaling, and optimization.
- Sustain AWS's next generation networks by providing critical support during large-scale networking events.
- Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues.
- Drive and support innovation across the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams for smooth roll-out of new designs.
- Maintain compliance with networking standards and policies.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
- Create and review documentation regarding network implementations and procedures.
