Job description
The Network Development Engineer will join the Core Networking team at AWS, focusing on building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks across global datacenters. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks. The engineer will work on high-quality network operations and technology refreshes while driving innovation and efficiency. The position requires a commitment to delivering sustainable and repeatable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols
- 4+ years of experience working in a Linux/Unix environment
- 1+ years of experience in automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, and/or Perl
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality network and systems operations, deployments, and scaling.
- Create and implement changes on the network.
- Lead network projects in areas such as network deployment and optimization.
- Sustain AWS next-generation networks by providing critical network support.
- Operate and troubleshoot network routing and performance issues.
- Drive and support innovation across the network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams for smooth rollouts.
- Maintain compliance with networking standards and policies.
- Create and review documentation regarding network implementations and procedures.
