Job description
The Senior Manufacturing Product Engineer at Microsoft will play a crucial role in the Microsoft Devices Operations (MDO) organization, focusing on product quality and manufacturing execution. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering or related field AND 5+ years experience in technical engineering, manufacturing, operations, hardware development.
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering or related field AND 6+ years experience in technical engineering, manufacturing, operations, hardware development.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering or related field AND 8+ years experience in technical engineering, manufacturing, operations, hardware development.
- Experience in hardware product development and/or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and the ability to prioritize and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of product quality and manufacturing execution.
- Establish deep technical understanding of design, test, assembly, and operation of specific products.
- Identify program-level manufacturing and refurbishment risks during the NPI phase.
- Drive fault isolation and failure analysis workstreams to determine causes.
- Create and deliver product training to manufacturing partners.
- Monitor quality metrics related to test yield, customer returns, and device refurbishment.
- Lead cross-functional teams to investigate, validate, and implement ongoing improvements.
