Job description

Join the Frontier AI & Robotics team to support the integration of next-generation robotic systems. This role focuses on hands-on hardware assembly, software integration, and system validation to enhance robotic capabilities. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless operation of advanced actuators, sensors, and subsystems. The team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of robotics through innovative research and practical applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of robotics work cells and control systems experience
  • Knowledge of tools and measurement devices such as oscilloscopes and frequency analyzers
  • Understanding of electromechanical systems including power distribution and communication buses
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system architecture diagrams
  • Experience designing, integrating, and troubleshooting high degree-of-freedom robotic systems
  • Operational experience with robotic control systems
  • Hands-on experience in robotics labs or hardware/software integration environments
  • Experience mentoring junior technicians or lab team members

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and integrate robotic hardware including actuators, sensors, and vision systems.
  • Validate hardware revisions and verify mechanical assemblies during bring-up.
  • Troubleshoot and root-cause issues across the robotic platform.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation such as runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
  • Perform simple R&D design tasks and test fixture design in CAD.
  • Support machine shop capabilities and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop test methodologies and streamline failure-to-resolution workflows.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
