Job description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their USA Structural Engineering Team. This role focuses on providing senior technical leadership and ensuring alignment with client requirements and quality standards. The ideal candidate will guide teams through complex engineering challenges and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices. The position requires a hands-on professional who excels in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant structural engineering experience related to a range of projects within the United States.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure in the United States, with multiple state licenses preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of structural systems, wind and seismic design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form concepts and ideas to a diverse audience of Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients effectively.
  • Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Risa, ETABS, and similar tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned engineering programs and initiatives.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) technical guidance and oversight to structural engineers.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record on projects to manage related budgets and schedules.
  • Organize and conduct structural-related engineering investigations and develop necessary documentation.
  • Independently perform Construction Administration duties, including field observation reports and responding to RFIs.
  • Travel and participate in project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits as required.
