Job description

The Financial Accounting Advisory Services - Commodities - Manager role at EY focuses on providing expert consulting in complex commodities risk, asset, and derivative valuations. The manager will be responsible for developing strategic goals and ensuring exceptional client experiences. This role requires collaboration with audit and advisory colleagues to identify opportunities and build strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, information technology, accounting or related field and 5-8 years of work experience.
  • US CPA licensure in your work state.
  • Direct experience with commodity procurement, trading or valuation processes from an operational perspective.
  • Experience with accounting for derivative and hedging activities.
  • Strong working knowledge of commodity markets, instruments, and regulatory pronouncements.
  • A basic understanding of financial modeling for commodity transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients on complex commodities risk, asset, and derivative valuations.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence strategy around commodity markets.
  • Ensure the Engagement team thoroughly understands clients' unique needs, ambitions, and expectations.
  • Build relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service.
  • Manage performance and identify opportunities to improve products and processes.
