Job description

The Engineer/Architecture Intern will join the Airports/Aviation Facilities team in Baltimore, Maryland, focusing on large-scale airport infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to apply civil engineering expertise while working on innovative solutions for clients. Interns will engage in various tasks related to airport design and development, contributing to the enhancement of aviation infrastructure. The position emphasizes collaboration with experienced engineers and project managers to deliver effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering - civil, mechanical/plumbing, electrical, or systems or Architecture.
  • Must be at least a rising Junior.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, and aprons.
  • Support the development of airport terminal area plans and landside facilities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and design documentation for aviation projects.
  • Participate in site visits to assess existing airport conditions and collect essential data for project planning.
