Job description

The role is focused on evaluating and underwriting GP stakes investments in alternative asset management firms within Blackstone Strategic Partners. The team manages approximately $11 billion in assets under management and offers liquidity opportunities across private markets. The position involves conducting research, financial modeling, and participating in diligence processes. The candidate will also contribute to investment presentations and monitor portfolio company performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or related occupations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word for presentations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Factset, S&P CapitalIQ, or similar market data providers.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and underwrite GP stakes investments in alternative asset management firms.
  • Conduct sector and asset class research leveraging industry reports and primary sources.
  • Analyze public and private transaction valuation trends using public filings and proprietary data.
  • Develop financial models and analyses, including discounted cash flows and scenario analysis.
  • Participate in diligence calls to assess management teams and investment strategies.
  • Draft memoranda for internal and external use.
  • Present investment research and valuation analysis during team discussions.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance and conduct quarterly valuations.
