Job description

The Multidisciplinary Manager for Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) will lead a cross-discipline engineering team focused on delivering high-impact customer outcomes. This role emphasizes coaching talent, modeling engineering excellence, and enhancing ISE's multidisciplinary operating model. The team collaborates closely with customers and Microsoft product teams to develop innovative cloud-based solutions. The position requires a strong commitment to continuous learning and responsible AI practices.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years of data-science experience OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 7+ years of data-science experience OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields AND 10+ years of data-science experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of people-management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, maximizing customer and Microsoft value through strong portfolio and delivery leadership.
  • Provide coaching, career development, and performance support for engineers across various disciplines.
  • Serve as a player-coach by engaging in selected projects and modeling engineering fundamentals.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure operational excellence across engagements.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by sharing reusable patterns and strengthening the operating model.
  • Champion AI-forward engineering by guiding teams to apply responsible AI practices.
