The Multidisciplinary Manager for Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) will lead a cross-discipline engineering team focused on delivering high-impact customer outcomes. This role involves coaching talent, modeling engineering excellence, and strengthening the multidisciplinary operating model. The team collaborates closely with customers and Microsoft product teams to develop cloud-based solutions and contribute to open source. The manager will foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation while championing responsible AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years people management experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, owning a portfolio of work to maximize customer and Microsoft value.
- Provide clear coaching, career development, and performance support for engineers across various disciplines.
- Serve as a player-coach by taking on selected engagements and modeling engineering fundamentals.
- Partner with leadership and discipline managers to ensure healthy team rhythms and strong operational excellence.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by elevating engineering practices and sharing reusable patterns.
- Champion AI-forward hypervelocity engineering by guiding teams to apply responsible AI practices.
