Job description
The Principal Data Scientist role at Microsoft AI focuses on driving the content measurement strategy and enhancing analytics systems through AI integration. The position is part of the MAI Growth and Analytics Team, which aims to optimize outcomes through high-confidence decision-making. The candidate will mentor data scientists and collaborate with various product teams to improve data analysis efficiency. This role emphasizes the application of advanced analytics, experimentation, and clear communication of insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years data science experience.
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years data science experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years data science experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- 6+ years of experience in at least one programming language like Python, C#, or Java.
Responsibilities
- Mentor data scientists to drive Microsoft Content product analysis and provide insights.
- Partner closely with Microsoft Content Dev/PM Team and data scientists from other products.
- Develop an agent for data analysis across the Microsoft Content organization.
- Apply LLM based AI skills, statistical modeling, data mining, and experimentation to large datasets.
- Design and execute experiments across user and demand dimensions.
- Engage stakeholders with clear, compelling, and actionable insights.
- Develop and standardize AI agents for data analysis across the Microsoft Content.
- Establish and uphold standards, policies, and best practices for high-quality code.
