Job description

The Senior Software Engineer role on the training infrastructure team at CoreAI focuses on developing core AI infrastructure services for large-scale model training and inference. The team is part of Microsoft's AI Platform and is responsible for managing GPU infrastructure that supports various AI workloads. The engineer will work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to enhance the stability and performance of training environments. This position emphasizes collaboration with engineers and researchers to improve the overall efficiency of AI systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop core AI Infrastructure services in Go, Rust, Python, C++, and C#.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, and external partners to debug and improve stability of large-scale training runs.
  • Enhance systems and applications to deliver high stability, low latency, strong security, and maintainability.
  • Provide operational support, technical leadership, and vision for engineering systems and practices.
