NVIDIA is seeking a systems-minded engineer to enhance the next generation of production workflow infrastructure for large-scale chip engineering. The role involves working with senior platform and flow architects to improve existing automation and configuration systems. Candidates should have strong fundamentals in Linux, scripting, and production infrastructure, even if they lack prior chip-design experience. The focus will be on evolving various programming and configuration tools into a clearer control-plane platform for complex engineering workflows.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in building automation, developer infrastructure, or engineering productivity tools
- Strong Linux fundamentals including shell debugging and environment setup
- Practical programming experience in Python, Perl, Go, C++, or similar languages
- Ability to reason about configuration layers and generated files
- Strong debugging habits and clear written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain workflow-platform features across various programming and configuration tools
- Help model workflow stages, inputs, outputs, and validation signals in configuration and manifests
- Create machine-readable check results and log summaries for easier inspection and debugging
- Strengthen early-failure checks for various potential issues in the workflow
- Add and test integrations with distributed job execution and data-fidelity tracking
- Work with senior engineers to reproduce failures and improve diagnostics
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
