Job description
The Software Development Engineer (SDE) is responsible for architecting, implementing, and deploying algorithmic solutions in areas such as voice communication, audio playback, and speech recognition within embedded systems. This role requires expertise in C or C++ software development, particularly focused on signal processing for audio and low-level DSP instructions. The SDE will lead projects, design experiments, and collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality audio processing solutions. The position is critical for driving the direction of the team and impacting product development.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and deploy algorithmic solutions for audio processing.
- Design experiments to test and prove audio algorithm solutions.
- Lead and execute projects focused on audio processing.
- Collaborate with System Architecture, PD, ID, and Audio Hardware teams.
- Drive software architecture and requirements in collaboration with project leads.
- Complete the Anvil certification process and review the SQA test plan.
- Set up source control and official build processes for ASP and/or DSP.
- Perform signal integrity tests and report results.
- Integrate and enable all features required by the XRD.
- Develop VectorCast unit tests for new or altered modules.
