• MS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering with 3+ years in the coating industry
• Strong materials fundamentals in polymer material properties
• Experience in polymer coating chemistries and application processes
• Knowledge of paint materials and design for manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel within China and internationally within Asia 25%-35%
• PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Engineering or 10+ years in the coating industry
• Effective written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with failure characterization techniques

• Drive the development of new coating materials and processes
• Identify, develop, and implement new coating materials for Apple hardware products
• Foster collaborative relationships with Apple suppliers to influence product development
• Collaborate with product design and industrial design groups on material selection and design feasibility
