This position is for a senior software engineer focused on designing and developing software for ray tracing technologies. The role involves working across the software stack, including firmware, drivers, and applications, to optimize ray tracing features for Intel products. The team is part of the Data Center Group, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and enhancing customer experiences. Candidates will engage in both development and collaboration to drive the adoption of ray tracing technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 9+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- 20+ years of experience in C/C++.
- 15+ years of GPU software development and performance optimization.
- 1+ years of real-time ray/path tracing on GPUs using Vulkan/DirectX.
- 1+ years of mathematical modeling, algorithms, and AI-related math concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test, validate, and debug software to enable or utilize ray tracing.
- Understand internal and external partner software and develop software across the stack to optimize ray tracing features.
- Develop reference ray tracing software and improve customer designs to maximize the value of Intel ray tracing products.
- Optimize workloads for ray tracing benchmarks and for simulation, performance analysis, and architecture recommendations.
