Job description

The Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple is focused on designing and innovating camera hardware for all products. The team is responsible for ensuring that camera modules work seamlessly across devices by developing test methodologies and resolving issues. As part of the Camera EE Integration & Validation team, the engineer will influence hardware decisions and enhance user experiences through early detection of engineering issues. This role requires collaboration with various cross-functional partners to shape the future of camera systems.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with EE test equipment such as oscilloscopes, high-speed probes, and function generators.
  • Strong low-level programming skills in C or C++.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and visualization tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

  • Build new validation and system integration test methodologies.
  • Evaluate camera performance in isolation and in system form factors.
  • Debug and resolve issues in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Automate lab equipment and measurements using Python.
  • Influence hardware decisions to guarantee a flawless user experience.
