Job description

The Process Engineering Manager at Elanco will support the design, operation, control, and optimization of manufacturing processes at the Elwood, Kansas facility. This role involves developing technical expertise in process performance and equipment, contributing to data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will lead front-line process engineers and ensure alignment with Elanco's operational standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of cGMP.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering support for capital projects including design, development, and validation activities.
  • Develop and analyze process designs and serve as a subject matter expert on process and equipment.
  • Author, review, and maintain technical documentation such as user requirement specifications and safety assessments.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and ensure issues are documented and resolved.
  • Monitor and maintain processes and equipment in a validated state to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Use data-driven analysis to evaluate process performance and implement improvements.
  • Assess the impact of process changes on product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Build and support the Process Engineering function by coaching team members and establishing standard work.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
