Job description

The Data Center Electrical Engineer role at Google focuses on the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for data centers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of substations and emergency power systems.
  • 3 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support to data center services and operations teams.
  • Develop, implement, and manage electrical designs for new builds and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the Engineer of Record to ensure alignment between Google's requirements and the overall design.
  • Manage site-level power system issues during project execution and maintain comprehensive documentation.
