The Software Engineer III, Generative AI, Agent Engineering role at Google focuses on applying Generative AI to solve real-world challenges for strategic customers. As part of the Cloud Applied AI team, you will work on building, deploying, and optimizing sophisticated AI agents. This position requires collaboration with core product engineering teams to address complex customer needs and accelerate their success. You will also have opportunities to influence product strategy based on firsthand insights from customer engagements.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure such as model deployment and optimization.
• Experience with Generative AI techniques or related concepts.

• Partner directly with select, strategic customers to understand their business challenges.
• Design, co-develop, debug, and deploy custom conversational AI agents and solutions.
• Systematize learnings from customer engagements by creating reusable tools and documentation.
• Serve as a critical feedback loop to core Product and Engineering teams.
• Guide customers on agent performance, CI/CD, and production readiness.
