The Staff Software Engineer for AI Agent at Google Cloud IAM Infrastructure will focus on architecting and implementing authorization solutions that enhance the security of enterprise AI adoption. This role involves leading the evolution of Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) through AI/ML integration. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to define roadmaps and deliver on commitments while mentoring a team of engineers. The position is critical for developing a core AUTHZ platform that supports complex multi-agent ecosystems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- 5 years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
- 3 years of experience in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to real-world problems, in infrastructure or security domains.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement agentic authorization solutions, directly contributing to GCP's Agent Cloud foundation strategy.
- Lead the evolution of Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) through AI/ML integration.
- Drive the technical vision and design for the feature development of highly available, low-latency, and scalable infrastructure systems for IAM policies and resources.
- Collaborate with product managers, technical program managers, and other engineering teams across the organization to define the roadmap and deliver on commitments.
- Mentor and grow a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Ensure the operational health of systems by participating in on-call rotations and driving improvements to monitoring and automation.
