Job description

The Director of Customer Engineering for Go-To-Market in North America Startups at Google is responsible for leading a team that supports the Acquisition Segment. This role focuses on driving technical strategy, adoption, and revenue growth of Google Cloud products. The director will engage with technical stakeholders and executive leaders to ensure successful cloud migrations and solutions. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to bridge customer needs with sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience leading customer engineering teams in a technical, customer-facing environment.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with AI and cloud infrastructure concepts or technology.
  • Experience in the Startups ecosystem as an advisor, investor, or mentor.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, inspire, and grow a team of Customer Engineering Managers and Individual Contributors.
  • Partner with sales leadership to define strategies and identify new workload opportunities.
  • Oversee the technical engagement from discovery to proof-of-concept and deployment.
  • Engage and present to technical stakeholders and executive leaders to accelerate value.
  • Drive the technical strategy, adoption, and revenue growth of Google Cloud products.
