Job description

The Senior UX Engineer for YouTube Subscriptions will join a multi-disciplinary UX team at Google, focusing on creating innovative products that enhance user experience. This role requires collaboration with Engineering and Product Management to bridge design and engineering, ensuring that design intent is maintained throughout the production process. The engineer will establish a high-fidelity AI prototyping program, utilizing the latest technologies to explore new features for live sports, movies, and TV shows. The position emphasizes creativity, analytical skills, and a passion for pushing technology forward.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
  • 5 years of experience in UX Engineering, including the design and implementation of reusable components or design systems.
  • 1 year of experience working with and integrating LLMs.
  • Experience in application development in at least one platform/area (e.g., web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a high-fidelity AI prototyping program specifically for OTT.
  • Act as a core contributor to advanced prototyping frameworks for stress-testing AI-driven features.
  • Unlock technical capabilities by setting up APIs, data sets, and tools for advanced prototyping frameworks.
  • Drive the design-to-code evolution by working closely with front-end engineers.
  • Leverage deep front-end engineering experience to deliver production-quality code.
