Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 5 to 10 years of post-graduate professional experience in Mechanical HVAC design is necessary.
  • Experience with the design of tunnel ventilation fans and mechanical equipment is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided drafting is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calculations and detailed design of tunnel ventilation systems and equipment.
  • Develop designs of fire life safety systems and coordinate with other engineering trades.
  • Provide technical and application support for engineering and design groups.
  • Assist in developing design criteria and completing calculations related to mechanical equipment.
  • Draft design documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and BIM Revit 3D.
