The Entry Level Fire Protection & HSE Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on supporting the Life Sciences team in Conshohocken, PA. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or other Engineering Program
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Ideally, working knowledge of design tools such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto
  • Prior work or internship experience in Fire Protection Engineering or HSE Engineering/Process Safety
  • Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards
  • University level experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modeling and analysis

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering and completing challenging projects related to fire protection and safety.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to address fire protection, process safety, and life safety challenges.
  • Provide technical design of sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, and fire alarm systems.
  • Support Process Safety initiatives, including HAZOP, gas detection, and electrical classification studies.
  • Collaborate with experienced Fire Protection Engineers and Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineers.
