Job description

This internship role at Apple focuses on supporting design, engineering, prototyping, and validation activities for hardware product lines. The team is dedicated to creating the next generation of innovative hardware devices that enhance user experience. Interns will collaborate with various multi-functional teams, including Industrial Design and Hardware Engineering, to bring products into production. Candidates should be passionate about solving complex challenges and eager to contribute to groundbreaking technology.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a MS in mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field of study.
  • At the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to design, engineering, prototyping and validation activities for all hardware product lines.
  • Help to create the next generation of the world's finest hardware devices.
  • Conceive, design, and bring into production products that will redefine user experience.
  • Work closely with many different multi-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Packaging, Safety, Hardware Engineering, EMC, Reliability and Marketing.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
